Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ's

1. Is my son safe at the Crease Monkeys Lacrosse Camp?
Safety is an important focus for us. Throughout the four years of successful summer camp sessions and through our many more years of experience managing camps, We have developed detailed rules and regulations in order to provide a safe atmosphere at the camp.

Each camper stays in a specified dorm which is supervised 24 hours a day. We have a specific Safety Director whose job for the week is to oversee all safety details and monitor the campers. A requirement of our staff is that they are assigned to rooms on each of the floors with the campers.

In addition, the College has its own police force, which is stationed on the campus 24 hours, seven days a week. They will be touring the dorms and field areas throughout the week.

When your son checks in for camp and there are specific medical problems we need to be aware of, we will arrange for him to visit with our certified trainer or Emergency Medical Technician at that time.

2. Why should I attend Crease Monkeys Lacrosse Camp?

Four years ago, we developed, in conjunction with many of the top lacrosse players in the world, what has become the premiere teaching camp for young lacrosse players. We have not only many great players but they are students of the game.

Our curriculum was specifically developed  so that it focuses on how a young lacrosse athlete should develop in order to compete at a top high school or college or at the professional level.

Most importantly though, you'll be working with and interacting with many of these great players for the entire week. Some camps highlight top players who only show up for an appearance and don't spend time getting to know the you and your game. That's not the case at the Crease Monkeys Lacrosse Camp

Additionally, we take more than a year to develop our camp staff and we base our selections on players who are exceptional at teaching the game. Our curriculum includes drills, teaching, games, specialized position work and as always having fun.

If that's not enough to answer your question, the other awesome element of camp is the combination of incredible facilities and great giveaways. All of these make the Crease Monkeys' Camp unmatched by any other out there.

3. Is the Crease Monkeys lacrosse camp better for a specific position?

No, not at all. Each summer we have an even number of players at each position and the feedback is in incredible across the board. There are also positional directors for each position. These directors will be professional MLL & NLL players or coaches. The instruction level at each position will be equal and incredible.

4. What level of player is the Crease Monkeys lacrosse camp suited for?

We have players from the youth level beginners right up through high level JV and varsity players. We pride ourselves on being able to cater to each and every player's skill level. Our goal is to make every player who attends camp regardless of the level a better player.

If you are a total beginner you will leave camp with an idea about the game and how to get better. If you are a good varsity player you will leave a better varsity player. Overall the level of competition at our camp is high.

5. What is a typical day like?

We have three sessions per day. Early in the week we do a good deal of teaching and we progress towards playing a lot of games later in the week. We ask that through out the "game" schedule campers work on what the learned in camp and their weaknesses rather than work on what they are already good at.
